Snow Make-Up Day
Message from the SuperintendentPublic education is being more challenged than ever before with the recent budget cuts announced by the State. The Plainfield Community School Corporation's budget was decreased by 4.6% causing us to reduce spending in several areas. Our primary goal is to keep cuts away from classroom instruction. For the 2010-2011 school year, the outstanding instruction provided to our students will not be compromised. You will not see a negative impact on class size, nor do we anticipate having to cut any instructional or extra-curricular programs that benefit our students. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak with your building principal or call me at 839-2578. Family Math Night at Clarks Creek

Clarks Creek Elementary had a Family Math Night last week. This is a great time for families to hang out together, practice their math skills and have snacks. The students and their family members participated in various math skill building games. The family night allows for family time and hanging out with friends. Teachers are leading the games and providing assistance to the game participants. Fun was had by all.
Brentwood Elementary students received a visit from the Colts' mascot 'Blue'. Blue visits area schools to teach the students to "Take P.R.I.D.E. in Yourself". P.R.I.D.E. is an acronym for Physical fitness, Respect for yourself and others, Intelligent decisions, Diet and Education which is the focus of the program the students at Brentwood received.
